For the production we need fondant in red, black and white color, knife, brush with a little water, black pen with edible ink, a wooden peg and wider and narrower straw, which are constants in my tutorials.
First we roll larger ball from red fondant and smaller ball from black fondant.
With gentle pressure flat the red ball into a shape of ladybug body.
From black fondant cut thin black stripe. With wet brush draw a line in the middle of the red fondant.
Place the thin black stripe on moistened line in the center of red fondant.
From black fondant cut some little black spots with thin straw.
Moisten the places on the red fondant and attach little black spots.
Moisten the front part of the body and with gentle pressure attach black fondant ball, to make a ladybug head.
From white fondant cut two little white spots with thin straw. Roll a tinny ball into a thin swirl for mouth.
Moisten the places on the ladybug head and attach white spots for eyes and thin swirl for mouth. Draw dots in the center of white spots with a black pen (edible ink).
Roll two tinny black balls into a thin swirls for antennaes.
With sharp wooden peg make two holes on ladybug head, moisten them and insert antennaes.
That is! Simple way how to make simple ladybug figurine or topper from fondant.
Put figurine to dry overnight in a cool and dry place (but not the refrigerator).
